Unipol Group once again stands by Paolo Fresu’s side for the thirty-seventh edition of “Time in Jazz”, the international festival created and directed by the famous Sardinian trumpeter in 1988 which has become, over the years, one of the most anticipated events of the summer for Italian jazz fans. The proceedings begin on the 8th August and end on the 16th, entertaining audiences starting in Berchidda, Fresu’s birthplace, and visiting other towns and resorts in Northern Sardinia, covering fifteen in total.

This year’s theme originates from afar: in 1964 the American saxophonist John Coltrane went into a New York studio to record one of the most meaningful and important albums in the history of jazz: A love Supreme, an ode to universal love and peace.

After “Rainbow” and “Futura”, the title of the 37th edition of Time in Jazz could only be “A Love Supreme”, suspended between past and future. The aim, as emphasised by Paolo Fresu himself, is to highlight how the human heart should always beat in unison, craving the need for supreme love capable of making us all equal.

It will be a fun-filled week of musical events, book presentations for literature lovers, music, art, science and much more; workshop activities for families, both in the morning and in the afternoon; food and wine tastings using local products; music-related film screenings; photographic and contemporary art exhibitions.
