UnipolSai supports the exhibition “Arte sulle Motonavi. Il varo dell’Utopia" ("Art on ships. The launch of Utopia”) on show in Rome at the Galleria Nazionale d’Arte Moderna and the Auditorium in Via Veneto – Spazio Cultura, from 9 November 2016 until 8 January 2017.

The exhibition guides visitors through the extraordinary history of the Italian transatlantic liners made by Fincantieri, a company belonging to the Cassa Depositi e Prestiti Group, and shows the works of art created for these giant floating cities by the greatest contemporary and late twentieth century’s artists.

Thanks to extensive and meticulous efforts, the Fincantieri Foundation was able to value public enterprise in the fities and sixties, which recognised the crucial role of culture and art as necessary and essential values for the development of Italian industry during the economic boom. The radical change in those years was in fact entrusted to the voices of intellectuals and artists who, through their eloquent testimonies, had optimal space to introduce culture to enterprise mechanisms.

Admission to the exhibition is free and possible at the following times: Tuesday to Sunday from 8:30 am until 7:30 pm at the Galleria Nazionale d’Arte and by appointment at the Auditorium
