Pursuing a pathway of responsibility where the Group has been concretely involved in social areas, UnipolSai has been supporting the Food Bank Foundation since 2006, in what can be considered, in numeric terms, the largest Italian and European gesture of solidarity. For over 20 years millions of Italians have been responding to the customary invitation to perform charitable acts and show solidarity proposed by Food Bank volunteers in over 13'000 supermarkets all over Italy. This enormous "Festival of Giving" is participated in by an extraordinary number of people, with over 145'000 volunteers involved all over Italy. In just one day over 8'000 tonnes of food is collected and is redistributed to over 8'000 Charity organisations serving approximately 1 million 600 thousand underprivileged people.
