The Lee Miller - Man Ray. Fashion, love, war exhibition presents around 140 photographs by Lee Miller and Man Ray, a few works of art, and video documents thanks to loans from the Lee Miller Archives and Fondazione Marconi.

In the prestigious and exclusive venue of Palazzo Franchetti in Venice, visitors will finally be able to fully appreciate the qualities of this great photographer and the contribution she made not only as the muse of Man Ray but above all as a professional in her own right. In fact, it is often forgotten that it was she who both discovered, by chance, and inspired the solarisation photography technique that would become the hallmark of Man Ray’s work.

The underlying theme of the exhibition is the relationship between Lee Miller and Man Ray, and how their love affair evolved into a friendship that lasted almost 50 years.
