The new project at the Cantieri Culturali alla Zisa in Palermo
Transforming an old building into a model of restoration and energy efficiency to show how the redevelopment of our architectural heritage can play a frontline role in combating climate change.
This is the new project launched by Bellezza Italia today in Palermo, in the new Legambiente Sicilia spaces at the Cantieri Culturali alla Zisa.
The presentation, attended by Maria Luisa Parmigiani, head of sustainability at Unipol Group, Edoardo Zanchini, vice chairman Legambiente and Gianfranco Zanna, chairman of Legambiente Sicilia, will outline the work already carried out by Legambiente in the area, which at the start of last century was also home to the old Ducrot factories, and the work to be done as part of the new Bellezza Italia project, which will make it possible to complete the pavilions with energy efficiency measures.
The overall architectural project, presented by Legambiente and approved by the local council and the Office of Cultural Heritage, plans to redevelop four pavilions with total area of around 350 m2.
When the work will be completed, the entire area will be made available to the public with a venue for scientific information activities on environmental issues and sustainability.
