The Unipol Group is main sponsor of the exhibition “L’emozione dei COLORI nell’arte”, on show at GAM Galleria Civica d’Arte Moderna e Contemporanea of Turin and Castello di Rivoli – Museo d’Arte Contemporanea from 14 March to 23 July 2017.

The incredible exhibition will display a collection of 400 works by 130 artists from around the world, dating from the late eighteenth century to the present day: Klee, Kandinsky, Munch, Matisse, Delaunay, Warhol and Fontana, just to name a few.

The group exhibit explores the history, the inventions, the experience and the use of colour in modern and contemporary Western art as well as in non-Western and indigenous cultures in the world today.

It contemplates the theme of colour from a perspective that looks at light, vibrations and the affective world. It calls into question the standardized use of colour in the digital age, which significantly reduces our ability to distinguish colours in the real world.

During the exhibition, neuroscientist Vittorio Gallese – who discovered mirror neurons with Giacomo Rizzolatti – will direct a world-first neuroscientific study on the experience of the audience in front of works of art.

The event was made possible thanks to the cooperation between the Unipol Group and Fondazione Torino Musei. The initiative shows how the Group is close to the people by concretely supporting what they love: art.
